Program Introduction

The Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science program at California State University, East Bay (CSU East Bay) offers students the opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and research capabilities in the field of computer science. The program provides in-depth education in specialized areas such as algorithm analysis, advanced database systems, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and software engineering, designed to equip students with advanced skills to solve modern computing problems. This program is designated as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field, allowing international students to benefit from up to 36 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT) after graduation.
